Based on Henryk Sienkiewicz’s classic novel, the film combines medieval adventure and romance with the conflict between Poland-Lithuania and the Teutonic Order, culminating in the spectacular Battle of Grunwald. One of the greatest popular successes of Polish cinema, it also attracted a huge audience in the Soviet Union. This rare small-format poster features a dramatic monochrome photographic composition typical of Soviet cinema advertising of the period.
