Knights of the Teutonic Order - Original Russian Movie Poster

Photo-collage poster designed to promote Aleksander Ford’s monumental Polish historical epic in Russian cinemas.

Based on Henryk Sienkiewicz’s classic novel, the film combines medieval adventure and romance with the conflict between Poland-Lithuania and the Teutonic Order, culminating in the spectacular Battle of Grunwald. One of the greatest popular successes of Polish cinema, it also attracted a huge audience in the Soviet Union.
