The Clowns - Original Hungarian Movie Poster

Striking and highly expressive composition by the great László Lakner for Federico Fellini’s The Clowns. A fragmented, almost ghostly clown figure emerges from energetic black brushwork, interrupted by flashes of vivid color and playful hand-drawn typography.

The image perfectly captures Fellini’s bittersweet fascination with the circus — a world of spectacle, childhood memory and melancholy slowly disappearing into the past.
